On Saturday 6th June, from 3.30pm-5pm, Care UK’s Bowes House, on Battle Road, is welcoming local people to mark 82 years since D-Day. Reservations can be made by contacting the Customer Relations Manager, Lisa Phillips by 5pm on Thursday 4th June. Lisa said: “At Bowes House, we’re passionate about playing an active role in the local community, so we’re delighted to open our doors as we mark the 82nd anniversary of D-Day. “Reminiscence activities are a wonderful opportunity for older people, including those living with dementia, to connect with others and maintain a strong sense of identity. In the lead-up to the event, residents have been sharing their personal stories and memories, and it’s been incredibly special to hear their experiences and understand what makes D-Day such a meaningful event to them. “We’re looking forward to welcoming both familiar and new faces for what will be a heartfelt and memorable afternoon.”...
