On Saturday 13th Oct at 2.30pm, Mary Payne, well-known broadcaster and writer, and Gold Medal Winner at both Hampton Court and Chelsea Flower Shows, will be giving a talk about how to spend “Minimum effort for maximum effect” in the garden, a subject of keen interest to many gardeners.
The Solem quartet takes its name from the University of Manchester’s motto “arduus ad solem”, meaning “striving towards the sun”. The Quartet was formed in 2011 at the University of Manchester and in 2014 won the Royal Overseas League Ensemble Competition.

The Usk Farmers’ Market is held on the first and third Saturday of each month throughout the year from 10.00am to 1.00 pm. It is held in the Memorial Hall, Maryport St, Usk NP15 1AD with both indoor and outside stalls.
