Black Swan (15) (Flixs in the Sticks)

This is a Past Event and has been Archived.

‘Black Swan’ is a psychological thriller directed by Darren Aronofsky, with Actress Natalie Portman playing the role of Nina, a ballerina in a New York City ballet company. She is competing against a new dancer, Lily (Kunis), to play the parts of both Odette and Odile, the rival swans in Tchaikovsky's classic ballet. Swan Lake requires a dancer who can play both the White Swan with innocence and grace, and the Black Swan, who represents guile and sensuality and as Nina begins to get more in touch with her dark side and recklessness threatens to destroy her. The film is dark and disturbing featuring scenes of anorexia, drug abuse and self-harm, as well as containing explicit lesbian sexual content.

The village hall and bar is open from 7.00 pm and the film starts at 7.30 pm. Tickets £3.00 can be obtained on the door or from Alice Harrall on 01258 837371

Don't take our word. See what our organisers say:
"Our family fun day this year was the best ever and a great deal of that success was from a mention on WhereCanWeGo.com. We will definitely be using it for all future events." - Lee Mill Community Association.
"Our event was a success due in no small part to your inclusion of it and the fact that yours was the first entry in an internet search for the title of the exhibition. The days of chasing after printed media coverage are over. Where Can We Go gave us excellent coverage and and we would be happy to recommend your service to organisations large and small." - Jock, Herald Events.
