VISUALise at 78. …. An exhibitionof contemporary stitched art textiles
The VISUALise textile art exhibition features artwork by 12 textile artists: Wendy Bates, Jane Caven, Janet Gosling, Sandra Jenkins, Therese Kane, Karin Kirk, Sue Latimer, Mary Martin, Alyssa Robinson, Jane Stock, Val Taylor and Olivia Wilson
On show will be abstract, realistic and figurative art using a wide range of media… wire, paper, fabric (new, distressed and recycled). Additional site specific art created with a Charles Mackintosh theme also on display and creative art pieces by renowned textile artist Nigel Cheney, the current
mentor of the group.
These have been hand and machine stitched, or felted to create art inspired by both the natural world and the built environment. As well as wall mounted art other smaller unframed pieces, cards and accessories are on show to inspire and buy.
All 12 artists are members of the VISUALise textile art group. www.visualise.online.
