On Wednesday 5th November we welcome Timothy Easton.... with his intriguing talk .......No Witches Here!.......
All about Protective Symbols in houses and barns and the concerns of the people of their times.
These, in centuries gone, and particularly in rural counties like Suffolk...... are often seen on beams around open hearth fireplaces in old Houses - but some will be elsewhere in the structure.
These were put there as Superstitions against plagues, house fires, and lightning strikes and other unforeseen events etc etc. and is aptly staged just after Halloween
This is a little known or understood phenomenon - come along and find out more!!!
Our Meetings take place at:
The Salvation Army Citadel.
