Ipswich Group, Suffolk Family History Society:
Next meets at The Main Hall, The Salvation Army Citadel, 558 Woodbridge Road, Ipswich IP4 4PH, at 7:30pm, on Wednesday 3rd September
This month, on Wednesday 3rd September we welcome Suffolk's Charlie Haylock presenting a special talk An Eccentric look at Suffolk.
A previous member of another audience for this talk wrote……
Charlie can reduce audiences to tears of laughter with his story telling, as anyone who has seen his An Eccentric Look at Suffolk will testify.
Charlie is retiring from giving his eagerly anticipated talks before the end of 2025 – so this may be your last chance to hear him at his best!
Charlie was well-known on Radio Suffolk, elsewhere across the county, and for his work as Suffolk dialogue coach on the film “The DIG” (All about the Sutton Hoo Treasure) and he has produced books on the origin, creation and use of “Suffolk Words”.
Come along to this mardle, you will be glad you did.
We are also planning for something else to happen after Charlies talk, to celebrate the Society’s 50 years.
Our Meetings take place at:
The Salvation Army Citadel.
558, Woodbridge Road,
Ipswich, IP4 4PH
Easy Parking at the rear.
For this talk, admission is £3 for Society members, £4 for non-members – pay on the door and arrival. NO need to prebook, just turn up and pay with cash please.
