All about Ipswich Group, Suffolk Family History Society:The next Meeting is at The Main Hall, The Salvation Army Citadel, 558 Woodbridge Road, Ipswich IP4 4PH, at 7:30pm, on Wednesday 6th August
Hello again
At our normal venue, we welcome Richard Mann presenting The way holidays used to be”.
As now – people in the past often tended to rush to the beach when the weather, school and works holidays allowed.
Richard looks at how holidays began, how we got there, and what we did when we got there. Readers may recall men sitting in deckchairs wearing suits- some daring to wear knotted handkerchiefs on their heads!
On Weds 3rd September – we welcome, as part of the Society 50th Anniversary Celebrations, local raconteur and celebrity Charlie Haylock presents “An Eccentric look at Suffolk”
