A lunchtime concert as part of Pinner Music Festival 2025, by piano duo Emma Abbate & Julian Perkins, who return to Pinner with a concert entitled Let’s Dance!
This lovely recital sets off with Percy Grainger’s work of that name, followed by Robert Schumann’s Kinderball – six dance pieces, and Peter Warlock’s evergreen Capriol Suite. Some of Dvorák’s ever-popular Slavonic Dances are followed by Chit Chat, three short movements – “evoking lively conversations” – by Iain Farrington. They close with Samuel Barber’s carefree ‘party-pieces’ called Souvenirs Op 28, six contrasting dance movements the duo recorded recently.
