Ensemble Hesperi
Something very different for the Music in Pinner season on February 17th at lunchtime (1.00pm); Ensemble Hesperi, an enthusiastic early music group, comprising Mary-Jannet Leith (recorders), Magdalena Loth-Hill (baroque violin), Florence Petit (baroque cello) & Thomas Allery (harpsichord), have put together a lovely mix of works by early 18th C composers, from three of their programmes. The title “A Curious Collection” derives from one – “Highlands”: James Oswald’s A Curious Collection of Scots Tunes. “Gardens” includes Telemann and Oswald on this theme, and they also include pieces by the exact contemporaries, Bach and Handel.
Join Ensemble Hesperi for a thrilling musical journey through eighteenth-century Britain and Europe.
