Display: 'Our Journeys to Saint Johns'

Heritage Open Day: Catholic means 'universal' and the Catholic Church preaches the Gospel of Christ across the globe, in Europe, Asia, the Americas and in Africa. Today, people from all these locations worship here at Saint John's - these are some of their stories. This display looks at the many communities, originating from all around the world, who worship together as Catholics at the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist.

Catholics around the globe are united in their faith in the Holy Trinity, while having a a huge range of wonderful and fascinating cultural backgrounds.

This display showcases the journeys of the members of the family at Saint John's from around the world. Our congregation come from across Europe, as well as from India, China, Malaysia, the Philippines, and the Americas. This display explains a few of their journeys to Saint John's and how their traditions and cultures add beauty and friendship to the worship of God at our Cathedral.
