Bay Short Film Festival Brings Award-Winning Cinema to Ulverston and Barrow-in-Furness This June

The Bay International Film Festival is delighted to announce the return of its sister event Bay Short Film Festival, taking place across two venues this June. Following the success of the November 2024 festival in Morecambe, a carefully curated selection of 22 outstanding short films will tour around the stunning Morecambe Bay area.
The weekend celebration kicks off on Saturday 21 June at 1:00 PM at Roxy Cinema, Ulverston, featuring eight distinctive films. Audiences will experience everything from dark comedies set in rain-soaked Manchester to mythical tales from Iceland, including the stop-motion musical animation about a female aviation pioneer. Three filmmakers will join for live Q&A sessions, including Ulverston's own Suzanne Garnett who will present the short film which won a Student Oscar.
