The local Gainsborough choir is run by singer/pianist Lulu Grainger. The Gainsborough branch is part of the unique national singing family that is Rock Choir. Whilst retaining our focus on Gainsborough community causes and events, the local branches of Rock Choir led by Lulu come together in regional and even national groups for bigger events, such performing en masse at the 10,000 seat Wembley Arena, achieving album sales that enter the charts, television appearances and Guinness World Records and helping to raise millions for charity. Joining this incomparable musical national treasure is very easy, there are no auditions, there's no need to read music and we're open to everyone in your local community!
Joining a choir can be a brave step to take for some and in light of this Lulu tries to make it as easy as possible for you by giving the opportunity to have a FREE taster session and then to have a chat with her about singing. Rock Choir is the leading group in community singing. We launched our FREE choir taster sessions back in 2005 and have 20 years experience giving members of the public who are new to group singing the chance to try joining a choir without the need to audition or read music.
