Create your own clay pumpkin with ex-Denby Master Potter Sean Flint, while connecting with nature at Attenborough Nature Reserve.
About the Event:
This event is part of our wider September Wild Weekend event at Attenborough Nature Reserve.
This 2 hour workshop begins with a relaxed walk around the picturesque Attenborough Nature Reserve, taking a moment to reset and connect with nature before heading to our private woodland where ex-Denby Master Potter Sean will guide you through the process of creating your own unique clay pumpkin.
Working with earthy terracotta clay, you'll learn how to form, sculpt and add textures to your pumpkin using simple tools - perfect for gifts or to keep for yourself!
All equipment is provided and Sean will be on hand throughout to answer queries and provide support. You can choose to take your creation home the same day, or leave it with us to be fired by Sean (additional cost applies, collection from Attenborough Nature Centre within 6 weeks).
This event takes place outside, please dress appropriately and expect to walk up to 2 miles. The visitor centre will remain open for light refreshments and toilets throughout.
Meeting point:
By the picnic benches in front of Attenborough Nature Centre (NG9 6DY)
