Edinburgh Tradfest returns for 2019, kicking off at the Queen’s Hall on Friday 26 April with live music from anarchic Irish folk band Lankum.
Tradfest was originally launched in 2013, as a festival showcasing the very best in traditional arts.

Clarsach virtuoso and acclaimed composer Savourna Stevenson has joined forces with old friend and saxophonist Steve Kettley in a duo showcasing her compositions – a blend of haunting melodies, pulsating rhythms and stirring improvisations.

Join us for an evening packed full of amazing films and awe-inspiring talks from some of the world’s most impressive adventurers.
This course is a simple foraging walk where we expect to be able to identify a selection of edible and poisonous wild plants, mushrooms flowers and fruits. We’ll also be providing a wild food based meal at the end of the course to include some of what we find.
