A new exhibition will share the experiences of women who worked in some of Newcastle’s most iconic industrial environments, exploring the contribution women made to industry at a time of major societal shift.
Artist Mark Fairnington will present a series of miniature oil paintings at Cherryburn this season. The oil paintings have been made to reflect Cherryburn, the surrounding landscape, and the work of Thomas Bewick. Mark has been inspired by a series of walks he has made around Cherryburn and Northumberland.

Twyne Textile Group – “Northern Reflections”
An exhibition of work by Twyne Textile Group will take place from the 4th August to 5th October 2018. The members of Twyne all live in the North East and have been inspired by dramatic landscapes, ancient heritage and northern cultures.
Come and be active as you walk around the site, following the self-led question trail around the ’Lady’. Please pay in the café. £2 per person. Our drop-in events can be very popular so please arrive early to avoid disappointment as places are limited.

This summer we have a range of free, family fun for all ages with an array of events in centre from 10am until 3pm. Throughout August children can enjoy being a pirate or princess for the day, play crazy golf and giant games, as well as getting crafty with different art and colouring in activities.
After very successful & well attended craft events in Bamburgh over the last four years, we are pleased to announce our events for 2018 at the Pavilion which is overlooked by the Castle, located in Bamburgh’s main street, opposite the car parks.
