This is a romantic comedy by one of France’s master film-makers and it is also a film about movie-making. A committed film director struggles to complete his project while coping with a series of personal and professional crises among the cast and crew.
It is often reckoned to be the best film about film-making ever made, and won multiple awards around the world including an Oscar for best foreign language movie in 1974 and a BAFTA for best film in the same year.
The film stars Jacqueline Bisset, Jean-Pierre Léaud, François Truffaut, Valentina Cortese, Dani, Alexandra Stewart, Jean-Pierre Aumont and Nathalie Baye among an ensemble cast.
