Mill Lane Gardens - Open Garden for NGS
Greenfield is an attractive and varied Bedfordshire village close to Flitwick and Ampthill. The village has houses of many different characteristics including several thatches and a recently refurbished village pub. Mill Lane was previously in the centre of a fruit growing area and was apparently famous for its strawberry fields. The three gardens are interesting and varied including cottage garden style perennials, courtyards, fruit gardens and ponds both ornamental and for wildlife. One includes the river Flit. Most of the gardens are accessible to wheelchairs but there are some steps, banks and gravel paths. Plenty of seating provided.
Sun 28 June (1-5). Combined adm £5, Children free. Home-made teas at 69 Mill Lane. Times:13:00 to 17:00. Open for charity.
