Spirit and Endeavour - running to April 2021
Celebrating 800 years since the foundation stones of the Cathedral were laid, Spirit and Endeavour is the Cathedral's largest contemporary art exhibition for nearly two decades. The works have been especially chosen to honour the achievements of the ordinary people who built a city and a cathedral of such distinction, with pieces featured across the Close and inside the Cathedral itself.
Three years in the planning, this exhibition brings together work from some of the most important and influential contemporary artists of the 20th and 21st century, including Antony Gormley, Shirazeh Houshiary, Henry Moore, Grayson Perry, Conrad Shawcross, Stanza and Mark Wallinger.
Curated by Jacquiline Creswell, Salisbury Cathedral’s Visual Arts Adviser.
Open 10:00 - 16:00 (last entry 15:30), Monday - Saturday
The exhibition can be seen across the Close and inside the Cathedral. Entry tickets to the Cathedral must be booked to view the works inside – these are included in the ticket price. Further information about the exhibition and reserving your tickets can be found on our website.
All tickets are valid for repeat visits to the Cathedral and can be reused for up to 12 months from the date of purchase.
