Walled Gardens of Beverley - Open Garden for NGS
33 and 35 are small tranquil gardens made in old terraced cottage backyards with quirky conversion of garages. 33 has random planting for sun and shade, lots of pots and rustic seating. Pass through to 35 to find ivy covered walls, borders, pots and lawn. 43 is larger and partly shaded by a magnificent copper beech. Borders contain a wide selection of small trees, shrubs and perennials which give colour all year. Wildflowers for bees and insects. Small pond. 39 and 45 are larger. 39 is a traditional townhouse garden, artistically planted for all year interest, winding paths through borders of perennials and roses. Paths continue through fruit trees and into a hidden plot with vegetables, cutting flowers and beehives.
