St Wilfrid's Halton
Heritage Open Day: The beautiful historic Church of St Wilfrid's Halton will be open Saturday 14th September 2024, 10.30 am to 4 pm.
See the unique Sigurd Cross in the Church yard, take a tour up the tower and explore the inside of this lovely church. Come and see the unique Sigurd Cross in the Church yard which has both Christian and Viking carvings. There are other early carvings on view inside the church.
There will be tours up the tower to see the wonderful views over the village and Lune valley. (N.B Children must be aged 8 or above and accompanied by an adult).
A variety of stalls and light refreshments will be available all day and also activities for children.
