Canonbury Gardens - Open Garden for NGS

Unique opportunity to visit six private gardens in this leafy and pretty part of historic Islington, along the New River Walk. These gardens only open under the NGS. Planted sympathetically to support biodiversity. There are beehives at 19 Alwyne Villas (avoid if allergic). Enjoy the topiary fish outside 48 Canonbury Park North, the well planted contrasts of 10 Alwyne Villas and 4b Alwyne Road, and discover how individual owners enjoy their spaces and reflect their personalities. Each garden has been adapted to its urban setting with pots, espaliered fruit trees, and colour palettes from calm whites to the hot. All gardens are within a 10 min walk of each other, making for a fabulous afternoon outing. Maps and signage will be provided, inc a walk along the New River.
