Pangbourne Twinning Association French Film Night - 'Paris'

Paris (2007)
A film by Cedric Klapisch.
Pierre, a professional dancer, is suddenly diagnosed with a serious heart condition that could endanger his life.
While waiting for news of a heart transplant, Pierre is reduced to sitting on the balcony of his Paris apartment and watching the world go by without him.
The more he observes, the more he realises the subtle and sublime beauty hidden beneath everyday encounters. Paris reveals itself to him along with the complex tapestry of its inhabitants.
This film is the director’s own tribute to his beloved city and stars Romain Duris and Juliette Binoche, together with an accomplished cast (including Fabrice Luchini and François Cluzet) who capture the heart and soul of the city within a series of interwoven vignettes.
Duration 124 minutes, with English subtitles.
