De Beauvoir Gardens - Open Garden for NGS
Six gardens to explore in De Beauvoir, a leafy enclave of Victorian villas near to Islington and Dalston. The area boasts some of Hackneys keenest gardeners and a thriving garden club. New this yr is 42 Oakley Road which features a sunken lawn surrounded by mature shrubs and trees inc New Zealand lancewoods. No. 1 Northchurch Terrace is tiny, packed with a diverse range of potted shrubs, ferns and flowers. 21 Northchurch Terrace is a walled garden with a formal pond and deep borders which have recently been replanted. 10 Ufton Grove is a contemporary professionally designed town garden with an abundance of water features, carp pond and interesting sculptures.
